Elizabeth Parr
has been painting on The Lizard Peninsula for many years and is
well known in Cornwall as well as in the Cotswolds for her Landscape
and Teddy Bear paintings. After losing her husband - and ten months
later her only son - she found it difficult to paint.
However, she
remarried and is again very happy and painting.
Elizabeth was born in Horsham, West Sussex, but has spent all her
adult life in her beloved West Country.
In her teens
she attended Horsham School of Art and later a 4 year I.C.S Course
in Oils. She is a lover of music and opera as well as enjoying walking
which enables her to gather sketches for her paintings.
Work by Elizabeth
was accepted by Britain's Painters in 1989, 1990 and 1992 and exhibited
and sold in the Mall and Westminster Galleries in London. She has
held 15 Solo Exhibitions in the Cotswolds and 17 at Trelowarren
